چکیده

Gnomoniopsis smithogilvyi (Gs) is a relevant pathogen of chestnut since it provokes significant losses worldwide. The aim this study was to screen the effect new biocontrol agent (BCA) against Gs isolated from (CIMO-BCA1) on mould’s growth as well production secondary metabolites. chemical fungicide Horizon® (tebuconazole; HOR) and commercial biofungicide Serenade® ASO (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST 713; ASO) were also tested. Three concentrations each antifungal (HOR, ASO, CIMO-BCA1) faced with in chestnut-based medium. intermediate used for analyses metabolites by LC-MS/MS. CIMO-BCA1 identified B. amyloliquefaciens. All agents reduced growth, treatment an concentration most effective. metabolite analysis revealed, first time, two mycotoxins Gs, including 3-nitropropionic acid diplodiatoxin. Additionally, HOR stimulated In conclusion, could present health risk consumers. strains effectively decreased but they must be applied at effective or combination other strategies completely reduce hazard.

A review on combined biological effects of microwave and other physical or chemical agents

With the development of science and technology, microwave has been used in many fields such as industry, military, medicine and communication. People are living in a lapped and dynamic electromagnetic environment. Concerns about potential hazards of microwave are getting increasing attentions. The single biological effects of microwave were widely discussed which was considered harmful. Relevan...

Identification of some secondary metabolites produced by four Penicillium species

Fungi produce a wide range of secondary metabolites such as antibiotics, toxins, alkaloids, fatty acids, ketones and alcohols during active cell growth. The present study was aimed to identify secondary metabolites from some Penicillium species, using GC-MS. Many important compounds such as 3-oxoquinuclidine in Penicillium jenseii, formamidine in Penicillium pusillum, orcinol and 1,3,8-p-mentha...

Occurrence of Pre- and Post-Harvest Mycotoxins and Other Secondary Metabolites in Danish Maize Silage

Maize silage is a widely used feed product for cattle worldwide, which may be contaminated with mycotoxins, pre- and post-harvest. This concerns both farmers and consumers. To assess the exposure of Danish cattle to mycotoxins from maize silage, 99 samples of whole-crop maize (ensiled and un-ensiled) were analyzed for their contents of 27 mycotoxins and other secondary fungal metabolites by liq...

Exercising control when confronted by a (Brownian) spider

We consider the Brownian ‘‘spider,’’ a construct introduced in Dubins and Schwarz (1988) and in Barlow and Pitman (1989). In this note, the author proves the ‘‘spider’’ bounds by using the dynamic programming strategy of guessing the optimal reward function and subsequently establishing its optimality by proving its excessiveness. © 2016 The Author(s). Mycotoxins and other secondary metabolites produced in vitro by Penicillium paneum Frisvad and Penicillium roqueforti Thom isolated from baled grass silage in Ireland.

Secondary metabolites produced by Penicillium paneum and Penicillium roqueforti from baled grass silage were analyzed. A total of 157 isolates were investigated, comprising 78 P. paneum and 79 P. roqueforti isolates randomly selected from more than 900 colonies cultured from bales. The findings mostly agreed with the literature, although some metabolites were not consistently produced by either...
